Yolanda L. Ruiz passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 65. She was born in San Antonio, TX on October 3, 1950. She is survived by her husband, Arturo R. Ruiz, Jr.; Mother, Esperanza G.Hernandez; Children Linda Lopez, Blanche Lopez (Arturo), Arturo R. L. Ruiz, Jr.,(Lydia)and Gracie Ruiz; Brothers Rodolfo Lopez, Frank Lopez Jr., Gilbert Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Jr. (Olivia), Rene Hernandez, David Hernandez (Oralia) and Armando Hernandez; Sisters Sylvia Gonzales (Abel), Odelia Hernandez (Gilbert) and Rebecca Valdez (James). 10-Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, numerous other loving relatives. She is preceded in death by her father Frank Lopez and Step-Father Juan Francisco Hernandez who raised her; Brother Avelino Lopez, Daughter Belen Lopez and Nephew Ricardo De La Rosa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Bierschwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapels. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 for a 10:00 a.m. mass at Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for funeral costs.
