William Garza went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the age of 68 years.  He loved studying the Bible and was a very devoted man of God.  William enjoyed bike riding, but most of all having bar-b-ques with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Elida Garza; father-in-law, Richard Vincent.  William is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Isabell "Izzy" Garza; sons, Alexander William Garza and wife Christie, Nathaniel Vincent Garza and wife Star; grandchildren, Alexander William Garza, Jr., Audrey Rose Garza, Korra Emarie Garza; brother, Hiram Garza and wife Delia; sister, Drusila Benavidez and husband Jesse; mother-in-law, Janie Hernandez; also numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, October 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Heritage Oaks Chapel on Friday, October 18th at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
