Vicente S. Perez went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 85 years. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and visiting and joking with his family and friends. Vicente was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dora Perez; children, Blas (Adelina) Perez, Victoria Perez, Gilbert (Ethel Faye) Perez, Felis (Leroy) Salinas, Mercedes (Grady) Dispain, Thomas (Lorie) Perez, Vicente Perez III, Rosita Perez; brother-in-law, Ernesto Loya; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Monday, September 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. If one desires, a memorial contribution in Vicente's name may be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
