Thomas Arlen Britz Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the age of 81 years. He was born in D'Hanis, Texas on January 13, 1936 to Joe and Emma Britz. Tommy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing and playing music, hunting and fishing.He was employed by and retired from American Airlines after 38 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Darlene; his parents, Joe and Emma Britz; brothers and sisters, Eddie Britz, Marie Anz, Joe Britz, Albert Britz, Donnie Wiley, Eunice Voigt, Helen Pooler, Virginia Koby, and Kenny Britz. Tommy is survived by his children, Tommy Jr. (Wendi) Britz, Donna (Jerry) Wiatrek, Robin (Tom) Tarr; brother, Bill (Audrey Jean) Britz; sister, Emma Wahl; grandchildren;Lindsay (Seth), Kendal (Stanley), Travis, Kathryn, Crystal (Chase), Dwayne (Cheryl), Dakota (Jessica), Lauren, Hannan, Dalton and Emma;great grandchildren; Blayne, Kymber, Scarlett, SJ, Corbin, Carter, Derrick, Dillon and Katie. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Saturday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tommy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
