Steven V. Fischer went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the age of 74 years. He retired as a Burglary Detective, from the San Antonio Police Department after serving his community for 34 years. Steven was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4786-St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing, and playing softball. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Juan Bermea and brother, John Bermea. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Erma Fischer; children, Cassandra Clark, Donny (Emma) Clark, Steve Fischer, Annette (Phillip) Silva, Roger (Olivia) Fischer, Jessica (Isidoro) Ramos; mother, Deonicia Bermea; brother, Jerry (Irene) Bermea; sister, Beatrice (Richard) Ortega; granddaughter that Steven helped raise, Daniella Clark; grandchildren, Bryan, Gabriel, Alexis, Chloe, Clarissa, Jennifer, Nicole, John Paul, Marcus, Marissa, Alexandria, Jonathan, Kristal, Lauren; also numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Friday, December 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude in the chapel.
