Rose Marie
Carranza
Dec 20, 1944 — May 5, 2024
Rose Marie Carranza, also known as Grandma Rose, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on May 5, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born on December 20, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas. Preceded to Glory by beloved parents Juan and Christina Estrada, siblings Oralia (Antonio) Sanchez and Ramiro Estrada.
Rose was a loving and devoted individual who loved her savior Jesus Christ and cherished her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and godchildren. She held dear the memories of her childhood, growing up with her siblings, and attending school and church at Mission Espada. Cardinals and roses (especially yellow) also held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her siblings Juan (Beatrice) Estrada, Henry (Debbie) Estrada, Teresa Reyes (Gilbert) and Mary Estrada.
Her children Manuel, Mary (David), Andrew (Choni), and Michael, as well as her grandchildren Johnathan, Briana, Christopher, Elena, Jaclyn, Brittany (Josh), David III, Kevin (Darlene), Nicholas (Nicole), Amanda, Tracey (Anthony) and Audrey, her Godchildren Anthony (Annaliese), Victoria (Eric) and Maria and 9 great grandchildren. An abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins who are also loved by her and blessed to know her.
Rose's kindness, love, and devotion to God and family will always be remembered and cherished by those whose lives were touched by her. The bright light of her life will be missed in a world where her kind is rare.
She wore so many titles, Child of God, daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, friend, cheerleader. The hole left in the lives of those who remain will be felt for generations. We await with great anticipation when we will join you in the promise of Jesus Christ.
