Roger Jerome Sauerwein entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the age of 84 years.  He was born in Belleville, Illinois on January 13, 1937 to Joseph and Alma (nee Winkler) Sauerwein.  Roger enjoyed playing dominoes and working at the Henckie Home for retired priest in Illinois.  As an electrical engineer, he loved fixing things for everyone.  Roger has very close ties with the Catholic Archdiocese.  He is survived by his children, Katerina Neuhauser, Tom Sauerwein and wife Carri, Alexis Jerome Sauerwein; grandchildren, Anastasia, Jessica, Alexandra; also numerous nieces and nephews.  It was Roger's wishes to be cremated.  The family will be holding a private Memorial Service.
