Robert M. Silva entered into Heaven on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the age of 70. He was born to Aurelio and Herminia Silva on October 18, 1946 in Floresville, Texas. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and was survived by his Daughters Kristina M and Nanete C Silva, his brother Leo A. Silva and spouse Margaret, as well as the Mother of his children and wife of 30 years, Connie Guilleaume.
Robert served our country in the 23rd Battalion, 3rd Division US Army. His career was doing something he loved…driving trucks. He retired from Frito Lay with 30 years of service. He volunteered 17 years for the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department. Another thing he loved….working on trucks. He always loved helping. He never met a stranger that by the end of their conversation that they weren't friends.
Robert's family will be receiving visitors at the Bierschwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Army Honors to be rendered at 6:45 p.m. along with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services will conclude in the chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Morales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department or the American Heart Association.
