Robert went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.  His parents are Jose Enes and Ramona Leija.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his Parents, Jose and Ramona Leija, Sister, Adela Vasquez and Spouse Rachel Herrera.  He is survived by his daughters: Melissa Meyers, Roxanne Leija, Grand Children: Carlos Martinez, Jasmine Martinez and Hector Martinez.  Siblings: Josie and Dennis Mueller, Tony ands Lydia Leija, Raymond and Linda Leija, Arnold Leija, Enes and Lidia Leija, Freddy Leija, Benny Leija, Dianne and Pedro Alviso also Johnny Maricela Leija.  Also numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Robert was a passionate person.  He loved with passion, he spoke with passion, and yes, he drove and got angry with passion.  Everything he did came straight from his heart.  There was never a dull moment because everything he did; he did whole-heartedly.  He loved  to laugh and have fun.  He was mischievous and always ready to pull a prank.  Whatever he did--wherever he was---a funny story would follow.

He loved his family and gave them everything he could.  He was so proud of his children and grandchildren.  He was always their biggest supporter.  If they wanted a "yes" answer they knew to go to him.  He had a special love for his brothers and sister and all his nephew and nieces.  He had a heart for kids.  He loved giving them "his advice" on everything from sports, relationships, and life.

He didn't quote a lot of scripture but he had the greatest gift that God's Spirit can give---The gift of love.  He loved people.  He loved helping anyone who needed anything.  He was generous.  He would give you his best.  He always wanted to be there for people.  Robert lived his faith.

He was a good and loving husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed.  He was truly one of a kind.

The family will be receiving visitors Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 5:p.m., The family asks everyone to meet for a funeral mass to be held  at St Anthony Catholic Church on Monday, December 23, 2019  at 10:00a.m.  Interment will be at a later date.
