Richard Albert Hosek Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 82 years.  He was a very devout Catholic, faithfully saying his morning and evening prayer on his knees.  Richard was an usher at St. Jerome's Catholic Church every Saturday for the 5:00 p.m. mass.  He was a member of the KJT and the Knights of Columbus.  Richard enjoyed fixing things and taking his older brother to the Hosek Farm.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Annie Hosek and brother, Robert Hosek. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, JoAnn Hosek; children, Richard Hosek Jr., Angelene Nordin and husband Todd, Joseph Hosek, Sandra Soto and husband Joe, Robert Hosek; six grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Bianca, Baylee, Declan and Brayden; brothers, Paul Hosek Jr and wife Marie, Lawrence Hosek and wife LIllian; also numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, November 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 11th for a 10:00 a.m. mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome's Catholic Church.  Interment will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. in Poth, Texas.
