Porfiria Alonso Barrera went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the age of 70 years. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Porfiria was preceded in death by her son, Arnulfo Clemente Barrera, parents, Regino and Regina Alonso; brothers, Armando and Juan Alonso. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Arnulfo "Arnold" Barrera; sons, Gonzalo Ausencio Barrera, Henry Porfirio Barrera and wife Alexandria; grandsons, Jeremiah and Andrew Barrera; brother, Leobardo Alonso; also numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Wednesday, March 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Prayer Services to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th for services to be held at East Gate Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
