Michael R. Sanchez went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the age of 61 years. He was born in Santa Monica, California on October 25, 1958 to Manuel and Virginia Sanchez. Michael was a member of the Lions club, enjoyed fishing, antiques and loved mentoring young men. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Virginia Sanchez and brother, David Sanchez. He is survived by his children, Deborah Ann Rodriguez(Robert), Renee Maldonado, Ray Anthony Espinosa, Michelle Sanchez(Albert Lizardo), Michael Rodrigo Sanchez II, Paul Sanchez(Felipa), Carlos Rodriguez(Maria); siblings, Alex Sanchez(Mari Lu), Victor Sanchez, Eduardo Sanchez, Marsela Sanchez, Rebecca Lopez(Alex), Mateo Sanchez and Adrian Sanchez. Sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Due to the regulations concerning COVID-19, only ten people will be allowed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
