Obituary

Mary Ann Milner entered eternal rest on July 20, 2024, at the age of 84.

Mary Ann was born to Mark H. Dillon and Leocadia (Lois) Dybowski Dillon on October 01, 1939.  She was raised in Bergs Mill, Texas, a small farming community and historic neighborhood in San Antonio.  Growing up she attended church at the San Juan Capistrano Mission and graduated from St. Teresa's Academy.  At the age of 20 she married Marlin D. Milner and had four children.  Mary Ann was first a homemaker until her children were all in school, and then worked in various bookkeeping roles with Brooksfield National Bank, Shoppers World, Woolco and Ashley Plumbing.  She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.  She retired along with her husband Marlin and started a new fun chapter in her life.  Her retirement years included gambling and fishing trips, as well as family gatherings.  Her attention to detail made her a great storyteller for anyone interested in her family heritage.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as watching her favorite Chicago shows on Wednesday night and the Dallas Cowboys.  Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 53 years, Marlin D. Milner, and son, Michael D. Milner of San Antonio.  She is survived by her children, Dwayne B. Milner (Mary) of Somerset, Yvonne Milner of San Antonio, and James D. Milner (April) of Canyon Lake, brothers, George Dillon, Mark Dillon of San Antonio, Matt Dillon of Buchanan Dam Tx, aunt, Helen Tingley of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, goddaughter, Valerie Franklin of Corryton Tennessee, godson, Jeffery Polasek of San Antonio, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends, most since childhood.  A visitation will take place Friday, August 2, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at Bierschwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary, 2502 S WW White Rd, San Antonio, Tx.
