Maria C. Gonzalez went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the age of 83 years.  She was born in Rio Hondo, Texas on March 25, 1936 to Jose Rodriguez and Candelaria Tolento.  Maria enjoyed gardening, quilting, crafting, shopping, collecting jewelry, working puzzles, traveling and was a member of the begonia society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Candelaria Rodriguez; sister, Marcelina Cerda; brother, Arturo Rodriguez. Maria is survived by her spouse, Ruben Gonzalez; daughters, Diana Kirk and Sylvia Campos; son, Michael Gonzalez and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Jacqueline Kirk, Shawna Quaglio, Roberto Fuentes, Brianna Campos, Brandon Campos and Michael Q. Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Frank, Jack, Judith and Dean. She also leaves behind 5 brothers and 2 sisters whom she cherished.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Benedict's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.  Interment following at San Jose Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
