Mamie C. "Cookie" Mayfield went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Cookie will always be remembered for all the beautiful floral arrangements she made throughout the many years and her love for her husband, children and grandchildren. Survivors include loving husband, Lenval Mayfield, daughters, Karen Sippel, Sheryl Lee Stubbs, Carol Ann Hillin, sons, Maurice and Fred Mayfield, sisters, Mary Bromley, Delia Drutar, twin sister, Maggie Webb, Georgia Howard, Lois Wright, brother, Wiley Galloway. Also nine grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Leukemia Society. The family will be receiving visitors after 4:00p.m. on Tuesday at Heritage Oaks Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 12:15 at Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapel with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
