Lucille "Lucy" Klaus was born April 3, 1940 in Latta, South Carolina and went to be with her husband Pete in heaven on August 11, 2017 at the age of 77. She is preceded in death by her parents Marzo and Celia Emanuel, husband Charles "Pete" Klaus, and granddaughter Destiny Nichols. She is survived by daughters Debbie Webb (Winford), Jeanie Nichols (Randy), and Kathy Recker (Brett); granddaughters Christine Teach (David), Amanda Luce, and Sydney Recker; and grandson Robert Luce (Claudia). Lucy met Pete on a blind date while he was in the service at Fort Bragg. They were married November 10, 1958 and returned to make their home in San Antonio. Lucy worked for many years in the sewing department at Winn's. She was a a great seamstress and could make anything including wedding dresses and dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. She loved doing all types of craft projects. She also loved to bowl and to go on bowling trips. At one time she bowled on the Slo-Pokes League with three generations of her family. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Tuesday, August 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 16th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Sayers, TX.
