Obituary

Lola Lee Steinbach was called home by our Lord on June 11th, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born in Seguin, Texas on April 18th, 1931 to Ervin and Lydia Woelke. She was the oldest of four siblings and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Lola's enduring legacy lies in her remarkable resilience and unwavering cheerfulness. Lola, known for her infectious laughter, green thumb, and adoration for her dachshunds Schnitzel and Bailey, will be forever remembered. Her zest for life manifested in her love for bowling, games, and dancing. She had a giving spirit and was frequently involved as a volunteer for SCOOP and at Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she was an active member for well over 60 years.   However, above all, Lola treasured her family beyond measure.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents, brother Melvin Woelke, and great grand-daughter Faith Zwicke. She is survived by her four children, Ruth Steinbach, Dennis Steinbach and his wife Ione, Donald Steinbach and his wife Flo, and Judy Northam and her husband John. Lola's memory lives on through her numerous grandchildren, including Gregory Zwicke, Ryan Zwicke, Stacy Haugen, Summer Steinbach, Shelby Miller, Justin Steinbach, Jerrad Steinbach, Jamie Steinbach, Kylie Northam, and Kacie Northam. Lola is also survived by her two sisters, Mae Markgraf and Joyce Damerau, as well as many great grandchildren.
