Lawrence Latka, beloved father and grandpa, left his family to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2016. He was born in St. Hedwig, Texas on March 2, 1924. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Suzy Latka and daughter-in-law L.O.B. He is survived by daughter, Mary Jane Hobbins; sons and their spouses, Lawrence Latka Jr and Vicki, Johnny Latka and Camerina, Mike Latka and Tina, Dave Latka and Janene, Jimmy and Steve Latka; sister-in-law, Therese Zeind; brother-in-law, Tony Zeind; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; also numerous other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank Amedisys hospice for their sincere care for Lawrence. Special thanks to the caregivers for helping Lawrence day after day. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Sunday, March 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict''s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7th.
