Lasaro F. Torrez, age 91, of San Antonio, Texas passed away, at his home,  on Monday, March 4, 2019.  He was bonr in Knippa, Texas on December 17, 1927.  Lasaro was a well respected man in the community, faithful leader in church and was a founding member of Templo Amor y Gracia, where he was a current member.  He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Torrez; sons, Ruben and Rosa, Ernest, Lasaro Jr. and Janie, Edward and Sylvia, Joe and Estella; daughter, Maria Amelia and Tony; brother, Macario Torrez; sisters, Ofelia Rocha, Maria Elena Rubio, Gloria Tijerina; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; also numerous nephews and nieces.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, March 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at Templo Amor y Gracia on Friday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in San Fernando II Cemetery.
