Katie Lou Klann was born April 9, 1934, in Floresville, Texas to Cecil and Lucy Hoover. She passed away April 27, 2026, after raising her family in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Franklin Hoover, and Charles Hoover, her beloved husband, Marvin Klann, a son-in-law Terry English, and a granddaughter.

Katie is survived by her children and their spouses, Lucy K. English, Linda Mae Klann, Loretta (Scott) Swenseth, Carl (Kristie) Klann, and Marvilyn (Antonio) Reyes, as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Hoover, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Janet Klann, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter No. 3. Guests should arrive 15 minutes early.
