June M. Morales went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the age of 89 years. She was a secretary and a case worker for the State of Texas Child Protective Services division for 20 plus years. She retired and became a co-owner of J & J welding and auto repair. She was a volunteer for school and church functions, election clerk worker, and other various community services. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching them play sports, and of course watching her favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe S. Morales, her sisters, and her son in law, Cruz Pastrano, Jr. June is survived by her children Tina Marie Pastrano, Norma Alejandro and husband Xavier, Joseph D. Morales and wife Azucena, Alissa Casanova and husband John; eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks on Thursday, June 23rd beginning at 5:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday June 24th. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who called her, sent flowers, and visited her, especially those that were there til the end.
