Obituary

In Loving Memory of Jorge "Georgie Tee" Treviño. It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved George who entered eternal rest on June 12, 2026 at the age of 71.
"George", was a devoted nephew, brother, uncle, great uncle and cousin whose kindness, faith, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered as the legendary Tejano music DJ from Laredo, Texas known as "Georgie Tee". George also worked at KGNS for over 40 years as a news director. He had nothing but pride in showing his love for NBC and wore the logo with much pride even after retirement.
Surrounded by prayers and love of family, George peacefully passed away at 11:32 a.m. on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We take comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the loving embrace of our Lord.
George was preceded in death by his grandmother María Núñez, parents Julián Antero and Sylvia Rosa Treviño, brothers Carlos René, Ricardo, Julián Jr., and a sister, Maricela.
He is survived by his aunt Elida Reyes, sister Marta (Henry) Amézquita, brother Rubén (María Victoria) Treviño, nieces Cindy Sparks, Jackie (Mario) Martínez, Jessica (Evan) Guzmán, nephews Julián Treviño III, Benjamin Treviño, great nieces Gwendolyn, Juliana Grace and great nephew Connor, and many cherished cousins and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Though our hearts grieve this profound loss, we are grateful for the gift of George's life and the countless memories we shared. His legacy of faith, music, and love will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on [Wednesday, June 17th, at Heritage Oaks Mortuary, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating George's life and praying for the repose of his soul.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home on Thursday, June 18th at 9:30 a.m., for Mass to be Celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
