John Lopez Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 53 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky and Steve Lopez; grandparents, Manuel and Florinda Torres; uncle, Able Torres; and cousin, Julie Ann Torres. John is survived by his mother, Amelia Torrez; sister, Eva Gonzalez and husband Juan; niece, Victoria Gonzalez and fiancé Jorge Troncoso; nephew, Victor Gonzalez; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, December 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for mass to be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, in Natalia, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Devine.
