Joan Shadrock, born to Joseph Skalski and Hegwid Hudek on February 13, 1941, entered into Heaven on August 8, 2015 at the age of 74. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Oscar Shadrock and their two daughters Susan Cole (Robert) and Brenda Sparling (Joe). She is also survived by her siblings Josie Vajdos, Bessie Henze, Katherine Dylla, Julia Zaiontz, Mary Holub, Agnes DeWinne, Joe Skalski and Carolyn Fowler (Dean). Joan was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Steven Sparling (Alex), Nicci Stech (Owen), Dani Sparling and Jessica Sparling. and special extended family members, Debbie Henze and Derek Sparling. Her family will be receiving visitors on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 4:00p.m.-9:00p.m. at the Biershwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m.. Family and friends will gather at Holy Name Catholic Church (3814 Nash Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78223) on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:00a.m. for Mass with a procession to follow for interment at Saint Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.
