It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of sweet baby Jiryiah Michael Johnson, who went into eternal sleep on Monday, October 7, 2024, at one year of age. Jiryiah was born on to his parents Julian Johnson and Erika Castro, in San Antonio, Texas. Jiryiah loved to play with bubbles, ballons, and playing outside and also with his toy dinosaurs. Some of his favorite T.V. characters included Thomas the Train, and Bluey. He is survived by his parents Julian Johnson and Erika Castro, grandparents: Michael Castro, Jay Johnson, Leslie Rothe, and Tina Estrada; aunts and uncles: Marus Johnson, Khadijha Johnson, Traci Flores, Angel Flores, John Boy Castro, Selena Flores and Donte Young, also, his cousin Donnie Johnson and others. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Emila Castro, great grandmother Jenny Mae Johnson, and great grandfather Rejiho Castro.

A visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, October 17, 2024, that will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. A graveside will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Balch, Texas at 1:00 p.m. The family kindly requests that in honor of celebration of baby Jiryiah's life, if bright colors such as blue and green can be worn to the services, thank you.
