Jerilyn Sue Ward went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 25, 2020.  She was born on November 22, 1941 to Harold and Arlyne Thomas in San Antonio, Texas.

Jerilyn was preceded in death by her grandson, Ian Brooks. She is survived by her husband of 58 1/2 years Bill Ward, Daughter; Susan Ward Brooks, Granddaughter; Blythe Brooks.

She was a Teacher's Aide, for Special Needs children at Crestview Elementary for 17 years.  Jerilyn was a professional photographer for many years. She enjoyed sewing and was a very creative person. Jerilyn loved cooking, her cats and was a shopaholic.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Tuesday, October 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 14th at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 50 people will be allowed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Those attending will need to wear a mask.
