Obituary

It was June 16, 2015 at approximately 10:00 am Ismael Moreno was in his home waiting for his nurse (daughter Linda) to arrive. As soon as she opened the door to his room he acknowledged her arrival and gave a smile-- turned his head to the side and died. Ismael -as he had been all of his life loved his family and waited for his beautiful daughter to appear before he said goodbye in the only way he could- with affection. He was like a blade of grass blown from someone''s hand and into eternity. He was now part of the ages. Born on May 26, 1933 to immigrant parents he represented what is great in America. He was a loving man who proudly served his country during the Korean War Conflict. When others chose not to serve he entered the Navy and was on an Aircraft Carrier ( USS Princeton ). He did what great Americans dovolunteered to put himself in harm''s way. His was an Immigrants tale without Hollywood to tell the story.

At the time of his illness, he was being attended to by his former wife Evelyn Moreno. They shared many times of renewed love and faith during his final days. They had found each other once again. God is good and Ismael was being touched by the hand of the Lord.

Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...

It's about learning how to dance in the rain.
