Gregorio R. Benitez went to eternal rest on December 25, 2021 at the age of 90 years. He was born on May 9, 1931 to Cruz and Manuela Benitez. Gregorio enjoyed playing the lotto and bingo. Gregorio also enjoyed gardening and telling stories. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Benitez; sons Gregory Benitez, Eddie Benitez; daughters Manuela Settles, Sylvia Benitez; brothers and sisters. Gregorio is survived by his children Cynthia Arnett (Paul), Lisa Benitez, Kristine Nevitt (Larry), Teddy Johnson (Golden), Amy Mitchell (Uryss); thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Alvarez. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Heritage Oaks Mortuary 2502 S WW White Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78222 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Heritage Oaks Mortuary. Interment will follow at San Fernando III.
