Gary worked at SWBT/SBC/AT&T for 21 years. Started as a Service Representative and worked his way up the line to a Manager in Finance. During this time as a Service Rep, Gary was a dedicated CWA Union Leader.

Gary always had a love for music. He taught himself how to play the guitar when he was in Elementary school watching the guitar lessons on KLRN, Saturday mornings. He enjoyed playing his guitar at Open Mic nights and was a regular at Sanchos on Thursday nights. He loved being part of Camp MisInclined at The Kerrville Folk Festival and attending events in Terlingua. He also wrote his own songs and loved being part of the San Antonio Song Saloon. Gary enjoyed working in his garden and giving us gardening tips when to plant and care for tomatoes. We will also miss our weather updates via FaceBook.

Preceded in death by his parents: Theodore (Ted) and Angeline (Angie) Woitena; Cousin Jo Nell Glaenzel; and Sister-in-Law Cindy Woitena

Survived by his children: Kristopher Woitena (Jessica) and Kimberly Smith (Adam)

Granddaughter: Jade Perez (Mike)

Great Granddaughter: Milana Ellora Perez

Brother: Barry Woitena (Debbie)

Sister: Charlotte Woitena-Truss (Jerry)

Nephews: Michael Woitena, Aaron and Ryan Truss

Cousins and Friends: Wiatrek Family, Gerald Glaenzel, Butch Morgan, Stuart Ulrich, Midge Poirrier Carpenter, Dan Balcar and so many more with too many to mention and beloved dog, Bailey.

We will miss Gary, but his memory will be a blessing to us.
