Fred G. Baca Jr went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the age of 77 years.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 19, 1947 to Fred T. Baca and Carmen Garza Baca.  Fred enjoyed playing pool and was a Team Leader with the Eight Ball Association.  He was a mechanic and a carpenter.  Fred was the proud owner of Fred's Icehouse for over 25 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Esperanza Baca and Maria Antonia Banda; brothers, Hipolito Baca and Richard Dominguez.  Fred is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Sylvia Baca; children, Corina Baca (Samuel Sanchez), Fred Baca III, Beatrice Baca (Paul Olveda), Ruben Antonio Baca (Nazee Baca); grandchildren, Raul Ulysses Morales, Aubree Baca, Catalina Olveda, Antonio Baca, Aiden Baca, Abel Baca, Camilla Olveda; siblings, Lillia Margarita Baca-Vasquez (Santos), Sofia Lopez, Amelia Mateo, Carmen Cerda (Mario Clemens), Angelita Govea, Gilberto Baca, Daniel Baca, Theresa Baca; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024, we will have a departure at 10:30 a.m. from Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapel to St. Benedict's Catholic Church for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass. Interment to follow to San Jose Burial Park Cemetery.
