With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Erik Estrada. He passed on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 42 years young and was surrounded by everyone who loved him—his family. Born on October 10, 1983, Erik was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend who made everyone around him feel special. He was adored and loved by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. If there is anyone who deserved to be described as a "perfect friend," it was Erik. He was kind, loving, caring, and selfless. He was the epitome of "staying gold."

Erik grew up in Eagle Pass, Texas, and had the opportunity to live in different cities and states which included Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, and Montogomery, MN before settling down in San Antonio, Texas. Erik had a love of cooking as an aspiring amateur chef. He also had a passion for cars, movies, and movie quotes, traveling, and video games. He enjoyed the outdoors and truly enjoyed helping others—a genuine altruist.

Erik is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mandie Smith; his mother, Maria Isabel Miranda Estrada; his twin brother, Derrick Estrada; his older brother, David Estrada; a large extended family, and very close and dear friends who he considered family. A service will be held in celebration of his beautiful life at Bierschwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5:00-9:00pm.
