Enrique "Rick" Mercado Jr., went into eternal rest on September 21, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. Rick was born on February 18, 1960 in Pearsall, Texas. Rick was preceded in death by his parents,Enrique S & Estella Mercado.He was born and lived in Pearsall, Texas. Rick is survived by his siblings, Sister,Hilda Walthall & Husband Jack. From Emory, Texas. Sister: Angie Rodriguez & Husband Jonas, of Preble, New York.Sister: Minerva Simmons & Husband James, of Loveland, Colorado.Brother, Alejandro Mercado & Christina Mercado of San Antonio,Texas. Sister: Eugenia Beckman Husband Jerry, of San Antonio, Texas.His children:Son:Johnny Mercado and his wifeTonya.Daughter : Stephanie Mercado.Son: Ricky Mercado.Numerous: Nephews & Nieces.Along with grandchildren. Rick had a heart of gold and was no stranger to kindness. He was a work alcoholic and enjoyed dancing, old school tejano and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Rick also had a love for animals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved Rick. Special Thanks to Sherry Seale & family for their unconditional love and support. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Sunday, September 27th, 2026 from 12pm-4pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1pm. All services will be concluded at 4pm.
