Obituary

Edith "Granny" Elouise Smith rested peacefully in God's hands on April 2, 2024, at 74. She was born to Dewey Tripp and Fairy Mae Tripp on January 20, 1950, in Cordele, Georgia.
Her home in Killeen, Texas, was a beacon of warmth and love, welcoming countless people. It was here that she nurtured and raised more children than just her two sons.
Edith's life was a testament to selflessness. Her love and open arms of hospitality touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark of inspiration. Her legacy of love and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Edith Smith is survived by her brother Rudolph Tripp, her sister Pothenia Brown, her son Derrick Smith, and her
daughter Pamela Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexis, Isiaha, Caleb, Gabriel, London, Jimmy, Paris, Cordele, Xavier, Xoe, Kyla, Elijah, Flavio, Yaritza, Anthony, and Marquette, and all 23 of her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Ruby Gwendolyn, 4 brothers Dewey Jr., Byrd, Charles, Billy, and son
Reginald Smith.
She was a blessing until the day of her departure, and she continues to be a beacon of light in the hearts of family and friends.
