Eddie Rechner entered his eternal rest on July 7, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of ninety – one. He was born on February 7, 1934 to parents Paul Rechner and Carlette Forehand in New Braunfels, Texas.

In his younger days Eddie loved to play slow pitch, golf and bowling. He loved to make crosses out of recycled materials, painting and was an exceptionally good artist. He will be missed by all who know him.

Eddie is survived by his wife of sixty-two ½ years of marriage Dorothy "Dottie" Rechner; daughters, Phyllis Shaw (Mark), Cheryl Rechner (Rachel Spaulding); two grandchildren, Ashley Denecamp (Danny), Mark Shaw Jr. (Nicole); four great grandchildren, Emily Denecamp, Daniel Denecamp, Mark Shaw lll, Charles Shaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Carlette Rechner; siblings, Betty Simpson, Hazel Robbins, Richard Rechner and other family and friends.

A celebration of Eddie's life will be held on Saturday, August 09, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Boldtville Presbyterian Church, 6631 New Sulphur Springs Rd, San Antonio, TX 78263. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
