It is with great sadness that we announce that our dearly beloved Dora S. Perez went into eternal rest on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 87 years of age. Dora was born on October 1, 1936, to her parents Blas and Felis Rojas, in Beeville, Texas.  She was a wonderful mother, who was there when needed offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.  A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, a Guadalupana and ACTS sister leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.  Dora was a caregiver for over forty years for her parents, her husband as well as others.  She was a true servant.  Upon retiring her hobbies included gardening, cooking especially tamales during the Holiday Season to share with her family and friends, volunteering, dancing, playing bingo and watching her favorite tv shows and movies on the Hallmark Channel.  After the passing of her husband, Dora enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach, but especially loved to visit Kickapoo Lucky Eagle and Winstar Casino.  She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of sixty-seven years, Vicente Perez, Jr and her parents Blas and Felis Rojas. She is survived by her eight children: Blas (Adelina) Perez, Victoria Perez (Michelle Holmes), Gilbert (Ethel Faye) Perez, Felis (Leroy) Salinas, Mercedes (Grady) Dispain, Thomas (Lorie) Perez, Vicente Perez III, and Rosita (Manny Aranda) Perez; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Flowers or donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
