Dennis Perry Haley went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the age of 71 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hondo. Dennis enjoyed building and flying remote control airplanes. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971, with a Bachelor''s Degree in Agronomy. Dennis was on the board for the Medina County Farm Bureau and the Texas Farm Bureau Cotton Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Perry and Havah Haley and his brother, Ricky Haley. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn "Cissy" Haley; children, Perry Wayne Haley and wife Christi, Justin Wade Haley and wife Angela, Jenny Ann Purcell and husband Charles "Boogie"; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Randy, Joshua, Ann-Marie, Matthew, and Emily Haley, Gunner and Garrett Purcell; sister, Cindy Speights and husband Jerry; also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hondo on Tuesday, August 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday, August 26th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hondo Cemetery.
