Obituary

Deborah Kay Jones, loving wife and mother went to be with the Lord March 1, 2021 at the age of 53.   Debbie was born February 4, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas to Marvin and Francell Jones.  She graduated in 1986 from Highlands High School with honors and shortly thereafter began her 30 year career at the Law Office of Jean Brown where she was loved and is missed by all.    Debbie is mother to her two sons Mario Benavidez, Jr. and Matthew Benavidez.  Her greatest joy was watching her sons grow and achieve their dreams and she was incredibly proud of them both.  She was affectionately referred to as "mom" by all of her sons friends, she was a fierce Mama Bear always protecting her boys.   Debbie was a very hard worker in every aspect of her life.  She kept an immaculate house inside and out, she took great pride in keeping everything in its proper place.  She spent a lot of time problem solving while she mowed her grass.  Debbie loved animals and rescued so many through the years.  She had such a compassionate heart and was an amazing listener, never judging anyone for their decisions in life.  She didn't ever want to draw attention to herself but worked hard so that others could shine.  Most of all Debbie loved her family and anyone that knew her loved her.  She could light up the room with her beautiful smile.  She had a wonderfully mischievous sense of humor and loved to laugh.  Debbies life was a living example of her favorite bible verse, " And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ" – Ephesians 4:32

Debbie is survived and adored by her husband, Mario Benavidez, Sr., Sons, Mario Benavidez, Jr., (Rana) and Matthew Benavidez, Parents Marvin E. Jones, Sr. and Francell Simon-Jones, Siblings Marty Jones and Clarissa Sczech (Tim), nephews and nieces, Laura Alaniz, Carlos Benavidez, Jr., Cory Ebbitt, Kyle Ebbitt, Kyle Sczech, Ryan Sczech and Kady Sczech.  She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Sandy, Molly and Stewie and all her beloved chickens.  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
