Charles W. Tieken went into his eternal rest Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born in Floresville, Texas on October 16, 1934 to Rufus Tieken and Lucy Harrell.  Charles was a Mason of the Garden Oaks #1306 in Houston, Texas and loved his dogs.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Tieken; stepdaughter, Vickie Rice; and parents, Rufus and Lucy.

Charles is survived by his children, Saundra Syma, Gary Carter (Tarri Segal). Dorothy Renese Collier (Rusty), Laura Smaistrla; stepson in law, Louis "Bud" Rice; sister, Dorothy Rechner (Eddie); brother, Rufus Tieken (Arelene), Rick Tieken (Lisa); longtime companion, Frankie Atkins; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Bierschwale Family Heritage Oaks Mortuary.

The Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 with procession following to Mission Burial Park South.
