Cecilia M.
Fielding
Mar 7, 1932 — Aug 5, 2025
San Antonio
Cecilia M. Fielding, 93, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 5, 2025. She was born in San Antonio on March 7, 1932, to Michael J and Mary (Moy) Shisk.
Cecilia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and neighbor. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she spent her life creating a warm and welcoming home for all who knew her. She, along with her husband were lifelong members of Holy Name Catholic since its inception in 1958 - originally named Saint Margaret Mary Chapel.
A woman of simple pleasures, Cecilia found joy in the little things—whether it was working in her yard, enjoying a cold Coors Light, or listening to her favorite George Strait songs and country music. She loved to dance, and there was nothing she cherished more than being surrounded by her loved ones, creating memories that will be held close forever.
Cecilia was an avid player of the card game "31," where she often found herself laughing and bonding with family and friends. Her spirit and laughter will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 51 years, Virgil Fielding; her parents, Michael J. and Mary Shisk; her sister, Annie Bukowski and brothers, Alex Shisk, Valente "Sonny" Shisk and Anton Shisk.
She is survived by her children, Scheri Arnold and her husband Bodie, Karen Smith and her husband Paul, Michael Fielding and his wife Elaine, Steven Fielding, Ray Fielding and his wife Michelle; Grandchildren, Scheli Golden and husband Clay, Codie Arnold, Kimberli Vosburg and husband Robby, Jason Ward and wife Tiffany, Chris Smith and wife Heather, Amy Johnson, Michael Fielding and wife Cristina, Grant Fielding and wife Maddie, Lacy Wright and husband Shawn, Kelsey Merino and husband Carlos, Mikayla Adams and husband Jamie; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Kosub and her son Darrell Kosub and wife LeAnna. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 09, 2025, at Holy Name Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 11:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Jerome's Cemetery.
The family is extremely grateful for all her personal caretakers. For the care Mom received at Tall Pines in Livingston, Texas. We were exceptionally blessed for Cheryl Spencer, Emerald PCH who cared for our Mom in her most difficult years until her final day. You will forever be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Cecilia's name.
