Catherine "Katie" L. Winkler went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 93 years. She enjoyed gardening and being a caregiver for children. Katie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Joe Winkler and her son-in-law, Wilfred Voigt. She is survived by her children, Lois Voigt and James Allen Winkler (Pat); grandchildren, Wendel Voigt (Lynné), Donna Dandridge (Mark), Sandra Johnstone (Travis), Joseph Winkler (Stephanie), and Jason Winkler (April); great grandchildren, Lauren, William, Wyatt, Wesley, Wade, Kaylynn, Sterling, and Ethan; brothers-in-law, Benjamin Winkler (Marie), Jim Shields (Linda), A.J. Moczygemba; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Wednesday, February 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19th at St. Benedict''s Catholic Church. Katie will be buried with her husband at St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.
