Catherine R. Ripps went into eternal rest on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 69 years. She was born to William John Redfern and Juanita M. Price on December 09, 1952. Catherine was a branch manager as well as a member of the Independent Order of Foresters. Catherine was also a member of the China Grove area Lions Club where she was the treasurer. Catherine survived by her husband: Eugene Ripps (16 years of marriage), her son: Larry Barker Jr. (Kati Rice), her granddaughter: Lauren Rice, sisters: Eileen Redfern, Pat Nugent, and Terry Brooke, brothers: Bill Redfern, and John Redfern. Catherine also had numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine preceded in death by her parents: William and Juanita Redfern and her brother: Mike Redfern. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Heritage Oaks Mortuary Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2022, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
