Carol Marie Dowdle passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 89 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend whose presence brought warmth to all who knew her.

Born February 26, 1937, in Cassel, Wisconsin to Rudolph and Gertrude Lang (Hornung). She lived a life filled with Kindness, Faith, and unwavering Love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Edgar Dowdle Jr. and son Kevin Dowdle (Blanca). She is survived by her companion James Crossland, her children Edgar Dowdle III (Alma) and Elizabeth Wallace (the late "Beaver" Wallace), her sister Janet Doutt, as well as 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., on Monday August 10th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, TX.
