Bonnie Dear Balderas, entered eternal rest Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old.

Born in Kerrville, Texas on November 03, 1945, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Robert L Dear and Dorothy Gray Dear. She graduated from Sam Houston Highschool in 1964 and was an integral part of their championship tennis teams. She enjoyed sports and early on was an avid bowler and softball player. She is known for her dedication and hard work during her career and was well respected by her friends and co- workers. Some of her enjoyments later in life included gardening and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert and mother Dorothy Dear; brothers, Gene, Edgar, Johnnie, Jimmy, Claude, Vernon Dear and sister Linda Homsey; and former husband George William Balderas, the father of her children.

Bonnie is survived by her children, son Mark W Balderas (fiancée Jennifer Choiniere) and her daughter June (husband Preston) Leet, grandson Mark A Balderas, brother Gary Dear, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Heritage Oaks Mortuary. 2502 S. W.W. White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to American Brain Foundation (www.americanbrainfoundation.org)
