Betty Jean Alvarez went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the age of 49 years. She was a friend to ever one she met. Betty loved dancing, motorcycles and being around people. She was preceded in death by her father; Paul Sanchez SR. Betty is survived by her parents, Carlos and Gladys Alvarez Marmolejo; her companion of 19 ½ years, Kathy Salias; sisters, Laura Alvarez, Jennifer Hernandez, Anita Sanchez and husband Joseph, Enriquetta Vargas, Monica Davis and husband Arnold, Sandra Valdez and husband Pete, Leticia Sanchez and husband Jesse Castillo; brothers, Carlos Marmolejo Jr., Paul Sanchez Jr. and wife Heidi; also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, July 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15th for Mass to be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in San Fernando II Cemetery.
