Aurora Lucio Lira, 88, was welcomed into heaven by her Savior on February 16, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.
Aurora was born in San Antonio, Texas to Victor Lucio and Angela Rodriguez on May 11, 1929. Aurora loved her family and all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and neighbors.
Aurora is preceded in death by her Spouse Leo G. Lira, Sr, and children Santos Xavier and Santos (Sonny) T. Lira.
Aurora is survived by her Son Leo G. Lira, Jr. (Connie) Daughters Adela Avila (Carlos), Angie Lira, Grace Salazar (Frank), Rosie Gallegos (Jesse), Olivia Banke (Steve) and Margaret Delgado (David); 27 Grandchildren, 51 great-Grandchildren and 9 great-great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 with a prayer service 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Oaks Mortuary, 2502 South W.W. White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Heritage Oaks Mortuary, 2502 South W.W. White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
