Anita Carranza Saenz, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the age of 83 years. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 15, 1943 to Manuel and Concepcion Pena Carranza.  Anita was an Assistant Pastor, along side her husband, at the Word of the Lord Christian Church.  She was a Prayer Warrior and Counselor.  Anita was preceded in death by her siblings, Juanita, Manuel, Victor, Maria and Flora.  She is survived by her loving husband, of 63 years, Pastor Carlos Saenz; children, Cynthia Saenz and her husband, Arthur; Carlos "Charlie" Saenz Jr and his wife, Tanya, Theresa Morua and her husband Emilio; grandchildren, Joey, Michael, Carlos III and Hannah; great grandchildren, Aidan, Ava, Saleen, Carmela, Cali, Cayla and Kaylee; brother, Alfred Carranza and his wife, Martha Jean; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Thursday, September 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:30 p.m.  Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 25th at  11:30 a.m.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., at Mission Burial Park South.
