On October 14, 2021, Alyssa Layman, age 5, gained her heavenly wings and entered the gates of heaven. She was born on June 24 ^th 2016 to parents Eloisa Marie Layman and Joe Anthony Garcia. Alyssa attended Traditions Elementary in San Antonio, Texas where she brought joy to everyone and was a great admirer of her school and her friends, but most importantly, her family.  It is with great sadness that Alyssa Destiny Layman leaves behind a mourning family.

Alyssa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosa Garcia; grandfather, Calvin Layman; great grandmother, Alicia Saldana; great grandfather, Robert Rodriguez.

She is survived by her mother, Eloisa Marie Layman and stepfather Jose Vasquez; father, Joe Anthony Garcia; four sisters, Analissa, Caylee, Isabella, and Raylissa; brother, Jose; grandmother, Elvira Layman, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family will receive visitors on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Oaks Mortuary, 2502 South W.W. White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78222. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
