Abel Salas Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 60 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Isabel R. Salas; grandparents, Manuel and Adela Salas.  Abel is survived by his wife, Linda Mayberry Salas; children, Cachae Mayberry and husband Jason, Edward Garza, Nicole Salas Garcia and husband John, Mark Salas and wife Julie; mother, Adela Salas; brother, Carlos Salas; sisters, Florita Benitez and husband Frank, Becky Carrillo and husband Jose, Sandra Salas-Torres and husband Henry.; grandchildren, Rudy, Kianna, Trevon, Bobby, Devon, Brandon, Asjahanna, John Jr., Jaxson, Romero, Unique, Taylum, and Jacob; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Friday, July 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 7th for a 1:00 p.m. graveside to be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Kenedy, TX.
